Looking for a place to cool down and that it won’t involve the beach? Head over northeast of Antalya you will find the Dim River. The river flows from the Taurus Mountain all the way until the coast of the Mediterranean. This particular river is a popular destination during the summer months for those wanting to take a break from the beach but enjoy themselves more inland. It is a great place to relax and also have a picnic. Locals quite enjoy coming to Dim River on the weekends for fishing or having an open-air barbecue. Along the lower banks of the river there are many restaurants and picnic places, a few man-made swimming pools, small beaches and water slides to keep yourself or if you are with a family entertained all day. For those looking for a more adventurous ride down the river, you can make your way upstream and go for an adrenaline-filled rafting experience down the rapids. Enjoy the view from the middle of the river of the cedar forests either from a river raft or from a kayak. Just beware when you get splashed, as the water of this river is cold as the valley area has a more temperate weather.
From the river and just a short hike away, you might want to go check the Dim Cave, Damlatas Beach, or the Damlatas Cave.
