ENGLISH PORT
Should you be sailing out from Bodrum and making your way towards Gokova your cruise will very likely make a stop along the way at the English Port. This port got its name back in World War II when the English Navy used this harbor here to anchor their vessels in the bay. This bay is pretty well sheltered from the elements. Most cruises and yachts will stop over for a while here before continuing their trip but while here one of the best things to do is to snorkel at this harbor. When you dive and swim try to seek out the English warships that take their restful sleep beneath. Towards the eastern side of this cove, there are also a few restaurants to have a scrumptious lunch or a romantic dinner beneath the stars. There are also a few shops to buy any provisions in case you are on a sailing adventure or just getting some snacks for the cruise. Whether you are stopping for only a day or an evening is sure to enjoy the starry night or the clear refreshing waters of the Turkish coast.
Once you feel that you are ready for your next destination you might want to consider going to Karacasogut Village, Bencik Bay, and Orhaniye.
