ALARA WATERFALL
Alara Waterfall
There is no shortage of beaches, bays, lagoons in the region of Antalya. This is what makes Alara Waterfall even more appealing. One of the unspoken natural beauties of the Mediterranean located close to the town of Koprulu. The government has taken care to preserve this area keeping the wild beauty and protecting the wildlife that lives here. While during the summer months the water flow is reduced drastically. The highest peaks of the Taurus Mountains feed the Alara Stream, running beneath the land and then spouting off from rifts of the rocky terrain until it becomes a waterfall that falls from about 25 meters high. During springtime, it is even possible to raft around the creek area. The waterfall is not a popular destination making it a great choice for those wanting an off the beaten track experience. At the foot of the waterfall are facilities if you are feeling peckish or wanting to engage in some water play. Or just listen to the soothing sound of the falling water.
From this point, travellers make their next travel stop in the area to Cleopatra’s Beach, Alanya, Dalmatas Cave and Alara Castle.
