ALACATI
Alacati is a unique Mediterranean town on the Western coast of Turkey situated in the province of Izmir, which is famous for its architecture, vineyards and windmills. Settled by Greek workers in the 1800s, who established the vineyards. These days Alacati is popular with wind and kitesurfers due to the strong breeze that blows in from the north, the marina is a water sportsman's dream. A charming place with the 16th-century Ottoman Cesme castle, cobbled streets, whitewashed houses with blue shutters and idyllic courtyards draped in bougainvillaea.
