Selge Ancient City is based in within the Koprulu Canyon and is 90 kilometres away from Antalya. On your way to Selge, you will find postcard-worthy photo opportunities of the natural beauty of the Taurus Mountains. Asides from discovering the ruins of this ancient city you will most certainly enjoy the natural beauty of this region. This ancient city is well protected by the cliffs and valleys that surround it. Selge was built on three hills and surrounded by a 4-kilometre long city wall. Most of the ancient sites you will see are from the Roman Period and the most spectacular is the ancient amphitheatre as well as the Oluk Bridge, which although was built by the Romans is still in use today. 

The amphitheatre is actually built into the hillside and can seat up to 10,000 people. There is also a stadium with ancient inscriptions that lead to believe that it was a place that held events similar to the Olympics, traditional contests with statues of the victors. Other striking features at this ancient city are the cistern, sarcophagi and church ruins.
