KAPUTAS BEACH
Kapatus Beach is one of the most popular beaches to visit along the southern Mediterranean coastline. You might recognise it as one of the covers of your travel guide, read about it in Lonely Planet or that it was listed as one of the top 10 beaches in Turkey. Driving down the road between Kalkan and Kas the beach is formed by a gorge that opens out into a stretch of sand. It will be difficult for you not to give in and join the other people that stop their drive to glance at the cerulean waters lapping at the golden sands. There is a flight of steps that leads from the road to the beach. There are no facilities at this beach so take water and a parasol if you want to spend some time here. On a windy day, there are spectacular waves to try to surf on. This beach is also a popular stopover for yachts along the Blue Cruise wanting to enjoy the unspoilt beauty of this beach and the cove.
From this point, you can either hop back on your cruise or continue your drive down to Kas to visit Aquarium Bay, Kas Ancient Theatre and Aperlai Ancient City.
